Sterilization

At Pocono Dental Associates, all of our instruments are sterilized to the highest level for your protection after every use. Monitoring devices are used to ensure that our sterilization procedure and equipment are working optimally. We utilize 3 pressure and heat autoclave units and 2 ultrasonic cleaning units in our centralized sterilization lab. Our instruments first get scrubbed in our gross debridement area, then gets chemically treated in our ultrasonic cleaner. The final stage of sterilization utilizes heat and pressure from any one of the 3 autoclave units. All of our dental hand pieces are fully autoclaved after each use.
